If you’ve been around our world for a while, you’ll know we’re all about building a business in public. That means showing the real stuff. The wins, the fails, and the oh-my-god-someone-help moments. And this week’s meeting? It had all of it.
So here’s a little behind-the-scenes peek at what it really looks like to run a growing software business while managing life, travel, and tech glitches.
CMS Updates: One Step Closer to Seamless Scenarios
Behind the laughs, there was serious progress. Nicola shared a huge CMS win: we can now edit and format our scenario content directly, text formatting, clean layouts, better user experience.
For our Hey Monika users, that means clearer, more readable questions, and a smoother learning journey. It’s something we’ve wanted for months, and now it’s here thanks to the fantastic work of our development team.
Are there still things to refine? Of course. Uploading documents and linking the right videos to each scenario step is something we’re excited to update next. Our team has the scenarios mapped out in full, and we’re ready to go. Now it’s just about working with our brilliant dev team to connect the dots behind the scenes. In the meantime, we’re supporting our users with workarounds, like sharing direct links to content, offering community guidance, and being fully transparent about where we’re at.
Clearer Communication, Stronger Collaboration
As our software evolves, so do we. We’ve realised the need for better workflows between our team and our developers, especially around how and where we log requests and updates. So we’re simplifying and building a new level of clarity into the content of each sprint.
We’re Committed to Making This Incredible
One thing is crystal clear: everyone, from the founders to the devs, is committed to building something incredible.
We’ve got a vision for Hey Monika: a practical training tool that helps bookkeepers build confidence and skills in real-world scenarios. And we’re making that vision a reality, one sprint at a time.
